Faced with a pandemic that shuttered their libraries, programming librarians quickly found creative ways to maintain community connection and engagement. To meet patrons where needed, many public librarians engaged for the first time with a variety of tools commonly used in online programming. We present two common cloud-based systems – LibGuides and Zoom  - and demonstrate how to push their boundaries in respect to virtual programming. We’ll look at LibGuides as a community engagement, outreach, and marketing tool, and explore Zoom’s Registration feature for large audiences.
Presentation will be based on our fall Outlander virtual series that had over 3200 attendees in eight programs.
