When you get thousands of chats, it’s hard to know where to begin to use that data. Do you read every single one? Do you try to code them all? Our library found a way to start using your chat stats on a smaller scale. We will show how we selected only the chats that came from a “referrer page”, meaning the user went to a sub page of the website presumably looking for information on the sub page’s topic. By asking a chat question, we assume that the user was unable to find the answer to their question within that page. We analyzed those chats then sent them to our web advisory group to pass on to the owner of the pages for additional information.
